All of the required parts are included in the Ford Focus ST/RS Digital Dash Complete Kit. The components can also be purchased indivdually.
If you purchased the Ford Focus ST/RS Digital Dash Complete Kit all of software will be up to date and you can skip to "Installing the Unit".
If parts are purchased individually you may need to update both the firmware and software. Visit here to download the latest .img.
You can use any SD card flashing tool to copy the .img file to the Micro SD card. We prefer Etcher. Once the .img has been copied to the SD card it can be inserted into the Digital Dash and installed in the vehicle. The firmware will automatically reflash the motherboard with the latest firmware on first boot.
The Stock Boost Gauge is only held in by clips. It can be removed by pulling straight up on the enclsoure.
Wires are attached to the gauge cluster and speaker. Take caution to not to damage them when removing the enclosure.
Once the enclosure is removed unplug the speaker and OEM gauge cluster.
Remove the two(2) T25 screws holding the stock gauge cluster into the enclsoure. Using the included T25 screws, screw the Digital Dash into the same mounting location.
With the Digital Dash mounted, reconnect the speaker and the Digital Dash cables. The same connetor is used on the Digital Dash, so no cutting or splicing is required.
Turn on the car and verify the unit boots before snapping the enclosure back in place. The unit takes about 50 seconds to boot and may flash a few times on first boot while it reflashes the motherboard.
Once everything is confirmed working, the enclosure can be snapped back into the dashboard.
The KE Digital Dash will host its own network that can be used for customization and debugging of the unit. Once the device has booted (around 50s) login into the KEDigitalDash network.
Network: KEDigitalDash
Password: FordFocusSTRS
Do not auto-join this network. This network will not have internet conenction, meaning if your device auto-connects everytime you will manually need to disconnect while driving to use celluar data.
Once logged into the KEDigitalDash network navigate to KEDigitalDash.com to log into the configuration page.
